Tapirs. Antelope. Horses. What do they have in common? Yes. They're all hoofed animals. Innocent hooved denizens of the great plains. But not all hoofed animals are nice. Zebras are evil - they
provided a metaphor for segregation South Africa under the apartheid regime. Zebras also
colluded with Hitler during WW2, hiding Nazi gold between their stripes. During the Cold War, zebras
were abducted from the Veldt and used for missile practice by Soviet
gnus. Damn those Soviet gnus. Of course not all zebras are evil, during the Crimean War, one kind zebra
found its way into Queen Victoria's privy chamber. Boy was she not amused!
