I was hiking in the Spitsbergen archipelago last summer, at 78'N. We were halfway up a glacier when we were attacked by a bipolar bear!
He laughed hardily as he took a swing and then wept uncontrollably as he took another. I would have given him some medication, but he ate my
arms and legs. I've heard of the high costs of living but this was getting ridiculous. He was standing over me laughing
with delight over how some little old woman
could have done that to me. We are supposed to look up to our elders, respect them! But not this old battle axe. What on earth could she find to complain about? All she ever did was
sit in her darkened living room watching reruns of Gomer Pyle all day. And we all envied her.
