As I was coming down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. I think he's from the
Congo or somewhere exotic like that. He smells fresh, like
pine needles. Perhaps he had been searching for a Christmas tree. It turned out he had sprayed himself with toilet deoderiser by mistake
and we all started laughing. Except Georgio, who had succumbed to the
pressure from colleagues. These are the same people who
check and see how many quarters are in the crevices of your couch when you leave the living room.
