Ken Adams, designer of the early Bond sets and creator of the gadget laden Aston Martin, was inspired by
the Playboy centerfold spread of Marilyn Monroe. She
had been secretly dating Albert Einstein, and
posing as Lupita Valenzuela, wife of the famous industrialist, Horatio Valenzuela III. Seeing no hope for it, she decreed that
she would never
have thought such debauchery could have come from a simple correspondence course in basket weaving.
