Around 120 A.D. Lucian was born on the banks of the Euphrates. He lectured in Italy, Greece and Gaul, and eventually hit Athens where he wrote his greatest satires. Dialogues of the Gods must have cracked them up in antiquity; Zeus and Eros discussing
the morality and merits of various birth control techniques. Even deities need family planning;
but Zeus isn't interested in families. Not surprising when Eros turns him into a satyr, bull, gold, swan, eagle in an effort to make him attractive to women. He probably had low self esteem.
Hence, my new invention: the Esteem Engine!
An innovative new form of transport!! simply plug this little doodad into your cars existing stereo port and watch as you car booms out the bass, and starts to travel at the speed of
bad news, for nothing on earth travels faster. Certainly not British public transport. Which is particularly mystifying, given that there can be little news worse than hearing that one must avail oneself of its services...
