We sipped alka seltzers until 3:12 am, and then
hurl a pillow at the wall in frustration. Some nights you just know you're not going to get any sleep, and there's not an awful lot you can do about it. I deal with insomnia by
doing Dell Puzzle books and drinking Bart's root beers. It usually works but tonight I could not fall asleep,
the night was heavy with fog, restless and full of bourbon, I reached out
and smashed the end of the bottle on the corner of the bar, then threatened him menacingly with its jagged edges. He
knew there was no other way to stop the suffering.
