A chill traveled down her spine when she heard the
dang thing crack under her feet, sending her crashing to the floor below her. Oh, what mortal man has done to his environment! Science is an ill truth, my friends.
Lies will destroy us all, if we let them. But sometimes, lies can be fun. Except for the lie that
remained in her heart long past the loss of innocence. She shuffled her feet in the sand as she waited for
Derek to drive up in his car and take them both away. Where they went, she didn't care, as long as it was far from this place and all its misery. The beach was not a happy place for her, not
even one person clapped when she left. Not one.
